Hi, I’m Melissa, I’m a Lecturer and Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, with a PhD in Clinical Medicine and over 12 years of experience providing grinds to Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, undergraduate and postgraduate students. I hold a BSc in Biochemistry, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis, an MSc in Molecular Medicine and a PhD in Clinical Medicine. Alongside my research in cancer therapeutics and nanomedicine, I lecture across the Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy at Trinity College Dublin, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in a range of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences. I offer grinds in Junior Cycle Science, Leaving Certificate Biology and Chemistry, as well as university-level subjects including Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Pharmacology, Physiology and Biomedical Sciences. My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they’re struggling with particular topics, looking to improve their grades or aiming for top marks. I focus on breaking down complex scientific concepts into clear, manageable explanations, helping students develop both confidence and a genuine understanding of the material. Lessons are structured, engaging and highly exam-focused, incorporating past papers, exam-style questions, marking schemes and effective exam techniques. I also provide guidance on university assignments, laboratory reports, scientific writing and exam preparation.
